It so began that when i first installed the latest Microsoft Windows OS, Vista, everything looked pretty. Other than the applications which had the same old interface, the OS itself looked great. It was then I found that there was a new Yahoo messenger especially made for Vista. I had previously been using the beta version of the normal messenger and it had quite a large number of bugs and would crash every now and then. So I decided to take the plunge and try out the newer version.
The first and most important thing that you would notice about this version is the lovely interface. It blends well with the OS theme and everything matches nicely. I wanted to login again and again especially for the beautiful login window and the animation that shows when it connects. The main messenger window and the chat window looked pretty good too.
It has the ability to change the theme color to various other options but i like the default black color much better than others. I loved the animation they show when a voice chat is being performed. The emoticons were nice and easy to use.
There were a few downsides too. The most important turn off was that the video chat was not available in this version as of now. So I had to use the older version once in a while whenever I wanted to use my webcam. Then the animated dummies who do those funny and insulting things that were available in the previous version was not available.
Overall I quite liked this version but I was expecting a fully working version and also something with the pretty interface that this one has combined with the simplicity of Google talk application.
Unfortunately I found that this version especially for Vista has been stopped for download from its site and that they are working on a one application for all OS. Just hope that it matches or exceeds the looks of this version.

My views are that this version does not have any thing that significant for the common man to update from his 8.04 version. Ever since it has become popular, GPS Tracking is being used in cars and such for domestic purposes and in several military applications. There was a consumer electronics fair held in Dubai recently. It started yesterday and will continue for a few more days. As my brother was working there in Dubai, I asked him to go over to the fair as he had told that almost electronics items will be for sale and will be much cheaper than retail price.
So I thought of asking him to buy a few electronic things and save money more than I could buy it here. He went over to the fair and told me all about the items for sale over there. There were almost all electronics related stuffs for sale.
My heart first was on a good LCD and home theater system and I asked him to check them out. He saw a Sony 40” LCD and a JVC home theater system. But even their reduced price was much higher than what I could afford. So we lost hope of buying them.

Fiat really made a mess of itself so far with regards to its reputation in the Indian market. They had some crucial shortcomings like service, spare parts availability and resale value. Till now it doesn’t have its own service centers but has been in partnership with TVS (a really bad move) and now with TATA motors where their showrooms and service centers are shared.
So far their cars haven't been well received by the Indian customers especially after it screwed up its brand name. Their cars like Fiat Palio haven’t seen much success despite being a good competitor.
Meanwhile the engines which they supply to Maruti and Tata stables have been a huge hit and probably one of the best engines around in that range. So Fiat is looking to capitalize on that and offer a new range of cars to develop a good reputation in the Indian market.
It recently launched the Fiat 500 as a CBU in hope of a brand building strategy. It reduced the price of Palio cars by quite a good margin for the festival season (or may be as a clearance sale). Next it is set to launch the C-segment car Linea very soon and following that will be the Hatch-back Grand Punto both of which has been great cars in terms of looks and performance wise.
But judging by Fiat’s record so far, one can only hope that they don’t mess up anything with these great cars. So far the news about these cars has been positive about these cars but still one has the gut feeling that Fiat does something messy. But if it does well with these cars, then they are sure to be on a roll in the forthcoming years.
