The Fiat Linea has finally arrived in the showrooms and is all set to be test drived and delivered in 1 or 2 weeks time.
I had been going across a Tata showroom recently and saw a Linea on display. I was surprised and gave it a second look by visiting the showroom. The Linea was large and lovely in appearance and impressed me. I loved the side profile looks and the head on look was kinda odd but ok for me. The rear looks decent too.
I guess just like the Hyundai i20, the specialty of the car is the features available. Had a lot of features including the exclusive Blue & Me that allows connecting to a mobile phone to car audio system. The dash and dial did not manage to impress me. Only a test drive can say things about the 1.3l multijet engine.
The top end diesel variant costs around 9 lakhs on road and is named as emotion. The active and dynamic are the other lower end variants.
If the after sales service picks up, then this car could be a major competitor in this segment which has so far been dominated by Honda City.
