We have just planned all about our dream house that will be built very soon in this year. After a lot of views and ideas in choosing the location and the interior rooms of the home, it is now the turn to modernize our home. After all what good is a new home if it does not have any new modern equipment in it.
After a bit of searching around, we came across this site called smart home discounts. The site has a lot of Home Security products ranging from wireless security camera systems to surveillance cameras. But being a gadget freak and a techie, I was much more interested in Harmony remote and the VUDU.
The Logitech harmony remote costs around $299 and can control almost every device like a TV, DVR, VCR and even lighting controls. With one touch on its screen, almost any device can be controlled. The VUDU set top box can stream movies through an online connection to a TV without requiring a computer. It costs about $230 and there are no subscription charges and such. Just movie rental and a minimum 2 Mbps broadband connection is required. The movies will be up-converted to look good on a wide screen TV.
The night vision surveillance camera for $96 was also impressive and may be helpful to make my new home a bit more secure.
