Dell is all set to launch its new line of LCD monitors. The new ones will include a 22" and a 24" one. There is also a 23" model available in the US but i doubt that it will be launched here. The most significant difference between the older model 22" and this newer 22" is the resolution. The newer one is Full HD ( 1920 x 1080 ) whereas the older ones in 22" used to have a resolution of 1680 x 900 or something.
However I don't find the new design to my liking. The curved edges and lifeless stand has put me off and are not to my taste.
I was looking to buy a monitor in the size of about 22" and I was considering the Benq E2200HD mainly because of its Full HD and HDMI port. Now that Dell too has full HD in its 22" I think I will go for Dell eventhough it lacks HDMI and good looks as I think they have better quality and great after sales service.
I think the 22" will retail for about Rs.12,000 as one of my friend had asked a Dell retailer about it.
