I recently bought a new Sony Bravia 40" full HD LCD TV. I hooked it up the Sony PS3 and the JVC 5.1 tower speakers and was waiting for a high definition wonder. I had not previously seen any high definition content at all. So I went ahead and bought Transformers movie in Blu-ray disc format. Then I played the movie in my home theater setup and boy I was impressed. The scenes and sounds were ultra-realistic. I was literally floored by the amazing life-like experience. And it was the same case with my family members too.
I would advice anyone looking to buy a LCD TV to go in for Full HD displays especially when you are going to sit nearer to the TV and the size of the LCD is going to be greater than 40". Many models currently available are only HD ready meaning that they are not full HD capable.
The other movies that I have kept in the queue to watch are Batman Begins, Iron man and Incredible hulk all in full HD.
