A solution for bad radio signal reception

I recently came across this device to improve the radio connectivity of my room. I had surrendered my current Airtel broadband connection as I felt that the plans and the charges were not worth it. When I saw about BSNL EVDO network, I immediately subscribed to it. But I was disappointed with the connection quality because my house was surrounded by many tall buildings and my room is quite an isolated area. Because of those, the radio signal reception was not good. This was also a major problem with almost all the satellite radio signals like my DTH signals, SIRIUS system and almost everything that operates on radio signals or through satellites like mobile tower, GPS data and many others. I have no idea which of these uses radio signals or satellites.

Then I found this really wonderful device called SIRIUS Outdoor antenna which enables me to get great satellite signals to the SIRIUS system inside my closed room. It requires an antenna at the roof top and a SIRIUS system inside my room. It seems that the antenna receives the signals and sends them to my room. The antenna is weather proof and can be mounted onto any flat surface easily. The device currently sells for a little less than $40 and comes with a 30’ cable, mounting hardware, antenna and manual. There is an instructional video on their site for reference. It seems to be good enough and worthy to be tried.
