Recently I had the chance to go the movie theatre with my friends and we decided to watch the Ghajini Movie which was just released during Christmas. This movie is a remake of the successful and popular Tamil film which had come by the same named and was lead by Surya. The Tamil movie was in fact inspired by the Hollywood flick Memento. Both the Tamil and Hindi versions of the film were directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
The cast crew for the film consists of Aamir Khan in the lead role and Asin, Jiah Khan following the other important characters in the film. I guess it was a good move in keeping Asin, the same actress from the Tamil version, as she was very good in that role. Aamir looks macho with him joining the ranks of Bollywood actors sporting 6 pack abs and short hair.
Overall I found this Hindi version of the movie a bit better as it has the last half hour of the storyline from Tamil film modified which was the weak link in the Tamil version. But there were mixed responses from the audiences. Some liked the movie very much while some were disappointed with the same old masala film. Overall the movie has got a rating of 4 out of 5 in many places.
