I like watching contents based on historical occurrences and hence love watching channels such as Discovery, History, National Geographic, etc. I also keep track of various historical occurrences such as Egyptian Pyramids and Earth’s history through various internet mediums.
Recently came across article about holodomor incident that took place in Soviet Union. I read about this in the website named holodomor-truth.org. This incident occurred in 1932-1933 and had caused mass famines that were very severe in nature. It had caused about 6-8 million deaths during that period. It occurred in the areas of Soviet Union, including Northern Caucasus, Volga Region, South Urals, West Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. It is said that the communist government had seizes grains from the peasants and exported them to the western countries so as to sustain the economic transformation. This had lead to the mass hunger that had claimed all those lives.
There have been several rumors about the actual truth that lies in this Holodomor incident. There have been people suggesting various theories and the one that was in the site proved to be a very interesting read. For those who like reading these sort of incidents, I feel that this is a must read.
