Google had launched new themes that can be used in gmail interface. There are about 20 themes totally and I had tried them all for my gmail account.
I tried one by one all the themes but the best theme that I liked was that of the default one. Perhaps I prefer the no frills and only substance style of interface. But I felt that the other seas and mountain themes are over the top with their bright colors and not so easy readability. Even the default them has been modified a bit.
Even in the social networking site Orkut, when Google introduced these themes, I was not eager to set those in-your-face type of themes as even today I have the simple and plain old blue color themed orkut theme for my profile.
But it seems that just like wide acceptance of Orkut themes by many of my friends, even this Gmail theme is used by quite a number of people. Though they provide a nice and fresh experiencerather than the boring and old look, I dont know for some reason I keep going back to the old interface.
