My search for a good audio player

So far, I haven't been too eager to listen songs in my PC. But recently my brother had bought a high end headphone and I could not just let it sit there idle. So I started copying all my favorite songs from CDs to my PC. But I soon realised that finding an audio player according to my taste was equally difficult as finding good songs.

I had many players installed in my system such as Windows Media player, media player classic, KM player, GOM player, foobar, Winamp and a few others that I havent yet used at all. I tried playing one of the on all of the players to find out which one I liked best.

KM player is my favorite application for seeing videos and so I started with it. But it just doesn't feel good playing audio. Then I tired Windows Media player and found it to be too big in its normal interface and too small in the little interface. I din't like the GOM interface at all. Winamp was looking generations older with its interface and it seemed crowded and not at all to my taste.

Then finally Foobar 2000 was the ideal one for me. I had a very simple interface and it was highly customizable. There were lots of third party plugins too. So I finally settled with it for my music needs.
