In-ear headphones dangerous for driving

I had recently purchased a Creative EP-630 earphones are they are of the in-ear type i.e. they site right within the ear. This setup may be both advantageous and disadvantageous.

The good thing is that these type of earphones provide noise isolation and help in preventing the outside noise from disturbing whatever we are listening. They also tend to provide a slightly louder noise as they are closer to the ear drum that they traditional types.

But there are some negatives too in this type of earphones. The first thing is that some people may not like the earphones sitting right within their ear and may feel uncomfortable. These earphones may infact provide very good noise isolation that it may result in not hearing the horns and other necessary things while one is driving. But it is a good thing when one is travelling by public transport or not driving the vehicle as it helps isolate the noise and provide peaceful listening experience.
